QBTA Access and Equity Policies and Procedures

Policy: QBTA provides equal opportunity and all learning environment is free from discrimination, harassment and victimization.

Legislation: Australian Federal and State legislation makes is unlawful for organizations to discriminate against people because of their age, gender, race, marital status, sexuality or physical or intellectual disability.

Principles: QBTA ensures that the student recruitment and admission process is non-discriminatory with

–    uses same recruitment and admission process for all students

–    provides students with adequate information and support

–    specifies standards of behavior expected from student and staff

–    has policies and procedures for preventing harassment and discrimination

QBTA

-offers flexible course design that provide multiple entry, credit transfer and recognition of prior learning

-in the case of vocational courses language, literacy and numeracy requirements are consistent with the vocational level of the qualification.

 QBTA’s assessment process is fair, valid, reliable and consistent through:

-Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

-Adequate information on course and subject

-All students have equal opportunity to demonstrate competence

Students have right to appeal against any decisions

Support is provided to those with special needs

To those people who have any disability meets essential entry requirements, we shall make changes or ‘reasonable adjustments’. This means providing the appropriate services and/or facilities for student learning and assessment.

Learning support: is facilitated for those with basic literacy, numeracy or English language difficulties

Reasonable adjustment may include: Educational support, Alternative assessment methods

Training

QBTA provides short beauty trainings, with theory and practice. During the theory lessons maximum of 3 students allowed at the same time. The practical trainings are one-on-one sessions.

Students under age of 18 must have a parent/ guardian permission to complete our training.

QBTA provides all training facilities during your course, all training materials, disinfection agents, forms and instruction sheets, furniture and accessories such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), magnifying lamps, beauty beds, stools and trolleys are provided.

You going to need a few models for your training; your friends or family members are more than welcome at your practical training sessions and assessments. If you unable to organize a required numbers of models we can arrange from our model list at $25/model

Parking is free, hot food shop is around the corner.

Booking, Cancellation, Re-scheduling

A NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your spot during your booking procedure at least 4 weeks prior your preferred training day. The deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances. Your full training fee must be paid 14 days prior your first training day.

We accept cash, bank deposit and we have EFTPOS facilities (VISA, MasterCard).

 Students must cancel more than 10 business days prior to the course date to receive a full refund. (excludes the deposit)

If you cancel 4 to 10 business days prior to the first day of training, 50% of the course fee will be refunded.

Rescheduling requests received 4 to 10 business days prior to the course date will result in a credit toward attendance at a future scheduled training taking place within 12 months of the original booking. Rescheduling is allowed on a one time basis only, no further rescheduling permitted. If you do not attend a seminar within 12 months from the original seminar, the entire course fee will be forfeited.

Cancellations made 3 or less business days prior to the course date, or failure to appear for the training, will result in forfeiture of the course fee.

QBTA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses at any time. If QBTA cancels or reschedules the training due to weather or unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of QBTA, you are entitled to a full refund of the course fee, or your course fee can be credited toward a future training which would be scheduled at your convenience based upon availability. QBTA is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. If QBTA cancels a seminar in which you are enrolled, you will be contacted at the email address you provided when registering, so please be sure to provide a valid email address.

If you encounter technical problems or other issues that cause the start of the session to be delayed by 30 minutes or more, we may proceed and complete the training session if possible and if time permits. If not, we will work with you to reschedule the training to the next available opening, which may or may not be the same day.
